Mrs. Ifueko M. Omoigui Okauru

Ifueko okaruMrs. Ifueko M. Omoigui Okauru was the Executive Chairman of Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) and now the Managing Partner of Compliance Professionals PLC. (CPP) – A corporate entity whose business includes providing support to individuals and organizations to ensure compliance with rules and regulations including the Nigerian Code of Corporate Governance 2018. She is also the founder of ReStraL Ltd., (a Leadership and Management services organisation), a sister company to Compliance Plc. ReStraL Ltd owns the Franklin Covey license in Nigeria and English-speaking West Africa and drives the business through the Franklin Covey Anglophone West Africa (FCAWA) business unit comprising FC Corporate and FC Education. FCAWA provides cutting edge Leadership, Trust, Productivity, Execution, Sales and Education solutions.

Ifueko is the CPP client Project Director and in that role, acts as the overall coordinator of all projects executed by CPP. She is a leader who take her time to mentor her staff to bring out the best in them.

She serves on the following boards in Nigeria – Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (Chairman of the Board of Trustees); Nigerian Breweries Plc. (Independent Director) and Seplat Petroleum Development Company Plc. (Independent Director); DAGOMO Foundation Nigeria Ltd/GTE (founding member of the Board of Trustees). She also currently serves as a Commissioner on the Independent Commission for the Reform of International Corporate Taxation (ICRICT) and Chairman of the Nigeria Tax Research Network.

Previously, she spent 12 years at Arthur Andersen & Co. (now three separate firms – KPMG Professional Services, Accenture and Andersen Tax) where she became National Partner of the firm’s strategy practice. At the call of her country, Mrs. Okauru served for two statutory terms as Executive Chairman of Nigeria’s Federal Inland Revenue Service and Chairman of Nigeria’s Joint Tax Board.

She was also a part-time member of the United Nations Committee of Experts on International Cooperation in Tax Matters.

Ifueko is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and Chartered Institute of Taxation. She attended University of Lagos, where she graduated with a B.Sc. (First Class Honours) in Accounting, Imperial College London (M.Sc., Management Science) and Harvard University (MPA).

She holds several awards and national honors. She enjoys singing, dancing and solving puzzles. She is married to Barr. Asishana B. Okauru, Esq. and they have four children.
